Help please!!!
We ignored all of the parking eye letters after hearing the earlier info to do so then found out things had changed
We wrote to parking eye with the truth that my partner was working for the hospital and parked in the compound of the site he was working on at Coventry hospital therefore not taking up a parking space..
We filled this info in on a small claims bulk form saying we would like popla to mediate

We have now had a notice to proceed letter with their reply to defence for the case..no dates
They have photos of the car and times going in and out and say this was still land that we should have paid to park on

Now wondering if it would be easier (and how much we would have to pay) to just pay or to still go through with it reading all of the info on here it's a bit daunting.n.ext steeps letter says is for both sides to submit a witness statement and documents by a court appointed date

It would be ridiculous to pay Parking Eye off a 3 figure sum right now bearing in mind all that's happened this year with their court claims! You DO NOT need to panic about the template bluster reply to defence (it's b0ll0cks) - just get proactive to try your utmost to force POPLA instead (hopefully):

And please read the NEWBIES sticky thread at the top of this forum, look at its post #5 all about small claims and loads of PE cases won by posters here, can be done! But you will need to update/refresh/improve your defence & evidence exhibits very soon and send a witness statement & bundle to the court and to PE, before the date stated on that latest court letter.

But first, TOMORROW! send the Judge a letter pushing again for POPLA AND FOR THE CLAIM TO BE STAYED AND THE HEARING VACATED - letter to send NOW is as per the linked threads. I wrote the template letter shown in that pepipoo thread - I post as SRM over there - and three people this week have reported their cases were stayed by the Judge, for POPLA instead! Many Judges are fed up with private 'parking ticket' cases it seems.

Then read the Parking prankster's Guide to defending a PE claim (one of the links in the sticky thread). That will help you improve your defence & get transcripts of other cases to include in your court bundle of as your evidence 'exhibits', and I'm sure it explains about the witness statement and bundle you need to supply.
