Credit Question

Hi

I am posting on behalf of my girlfriend.

For some reason she just can not get credit and when we search for her credit report with Experian there seems to be no record of her.

I just find it strange and do not understand why she can not even get credit for a mobile phone contract in her name.

She has lived at the same address all her life and is 22 years old, Got a bank account, earns a reasonable income is on the electoral roll etc

Just does not make sense to me.

Does anyone know why this could be happening?

Barclaycard (0% until September 14) =£476.93
Barclaycard (0% until October 14) = £390.82
Barclaycard (0% until May 16) = £105.58
TOTAL DEBT = 10364 (aim to clear June 16)

    No idea. What is on the credit report?

    Has she had credit of any kind before?

    Personally my credit history started out by me having a stupidly high interest rate store card which I paid in full and avoided paying interest then I got a sub prime credit card with another silly interest rate and then from there I was able to take out loans and much better prime credit cards with 0% rates.

    :p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

    Credit report says nothing as it says it can not verify her details/identity or something along those lines.

    when she gets back from work I thinking of just getting her to call up expierian and see what they say

    Once your girlfriend returns from work, if she was wanting to speak to our team over the phone who would gladly be able to look into this for her.
