I have internet and TV with Virgin. This saturday a tech guy had to come to my house to change the HD cable. i was told the this person would come to mine between 8am and 1pm.
At 1pm i called customer services to say that nobody had turned up yet. They told me that this tech guy had been busy and would pass in 20 min. At 2pm i called them again to say that i was still waiting and they told me again to wait another 20 min.
Finally i left my house as i had met someone for lunch at 3pm and nobody turned up.
i am disappointed as i had to spend my day off in the house waiting for nothing. Nobody called me to say that they were going to be late plus that i had to call twice customer service from my mobile which wasnt free.
what would you do? shall i open a complaint? if i do so, what can i expect?
Thanks

What do you mean by the "HD Cable"?I have internet and TV with Virgin. This saturday a tech guy had to come to my house to change the HD cable.
If you are referring to the HDMI lead then go to Poundland and buy one for (surprise surprise) £1, you can change it yourself in seconds.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -

i wasnt referring to the HDMI.
we cant see the HD channels properly, the screen freezes so we reported it to Virgin and they said that the cables (outside the property and inside) had to be changed.0 -
So HD cable was a misnomer. You required a dropwire replacement and this is usually done with no requirement for access. The old cable will have been damaged and a new replacement is required.0

How can VM possibly make that diagnosis without an onsite visit? Surely a cable fault will affect all channels, not just the HD ones?No free lunch, and no free laptop
