    Hi

I believe that norwich union direct offer 30% discount for pass plus on fully comprehensive, but the discount is less on third party fire and theft.

The following all offer good discounts for pass plus

    quotelinedirect / motorquotedirect / directchoice

you may have to ring them to get the best quotes but I think 2 of them have a question "have you passed passplus"

Norwich Union Direct went from £1200 to £660 for my 18yr old son 3rd party fire and theft with his pass plus.

Yep, I'd second Norwich Union, my son, also 18 at the time, got his TPF&T with Pass Plus for £785, after an initial quote of £1400!!!

Can probably get cheaper than NU without doing your passplus. NU quoted me £1076 fully comp on a VR6 and Elephant was £532

Barclays offer a discount for Passplus, this is probably because Norwich Union underwrite their product, but it seems cheaper than Norwich Union.

i am SO confused. I have passed my test a few weeks ago, in the process of looking for a car, and i dont know whether or not to do pass plus!

direct line quoted me £1200 without it.. elephant quoted more than £2000.. why?

is there anywhere else i can try? doesnt liverpool victoria offer 50% withouut pass plus>

the trouble with pass plus is that my driving instructor is fully booked and i cant really be bothered to get back into a learner car with a new instructor!

    HELP!
  • Hi ya i have now taken a policy out on my Corsa, they said when i rang them up to ask how much discount they offer it would be 20%. So i have taken my policy out online, rang up to send my Pass plus cert and they said ill only get 10% off as i had already had 10% off online, well have to wait to see what the direct debit says cause ill be straight back on the phone, do you know if they usually say this.

    TIA

I did my pass plus with a different instructor. I think that's really valuable because
    1) your new car is unlikely to be exactly the same as your instructors car, so learning another car is good for you, and will give you more confidence to try other makes / models etc
    2) another persons viewpoint is always useful. You already know what your instructor is likely to say about your driving - why not find out what other tips and views are out there!!
