Who's best?

After long deliberation I have finally decided to claim for disability living allowance.
I claimed sort of half heartedly a while ago after nagging from relatives to do so but was refused. I have now worsened and feel I should claim, my question is and I apologise if I'm asking in the wrong place but who is best to help fill in the form Age Concern or Citizens Advice?
Thanks.
Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

  • Hi Need money I claim dla and managed to do the forms myself although they are a nightmare so I don't have any experience with either, why not make an appointment with the Cab and see how you go.
    Good luck

Helloy Needmoney I would suggest you look at the sites that are for your condition - ie arthritis has lots of sites & they offer some help. Also your council may have a DIAL section, they are good too.

Glad to be of help, if you have contacted your council re any modifications or help around the house you may have a report from the occupational therapist? If so don't forget to enclose a photocopy of the report with your claim.

Definitely go to CAB . I have just won a tribunal for DLA with their help and wished i had gone to them in the first place cos i think it would have saved me the hassle of an appeal and tribunal . They know all the ins and outs of DLA claims. Good luck. PS mine was with arthritis

Go to the CAB - they will refer you to a welfare rights worker, who are very experienced in DLA applications.

    Thank you fos and morglin.
I spoke to the lady from age concern yesterday and she asked how often I see my Doctor and I told her not often as I manage myself now because other than giving pain killers and ant-inlamatoies I do not find him much help. She then said I should go to him for a report as without one they won't look at my claim.
