How Long til Paypal pay money?

Hi There,

I won an item on ebay and paid via paypal straight away.

Over 1 week later the item hadn't arrived so I emailed the seller asking if they could hold on to the item (If it hadn't been posted) until I got back from a visit away from home so as it would save me going to the depot 30 mins away.

No response after a couple of days.

So I went on my trip, came back and still nothing! So I emailed the seller saying that I would have to report them soon if they didn't make contact and gave them 5 days to do so.

Still nothing so I reported it to ebay and then paypal to make a claim for my money. After a week I escalated the claim as I didn't feel that I was getting anywhere.

Question is- How long do I have to wait before I get a refund?

i had a dispute going for over 30 days recently. I think it ended around 35days. They seem to have a real backlog at the moment.

e-bay give a breakdown of what happens when, it's best to look at their help section, it depends when you first raised the query, they get so long to reply etc.... xx

If you're desperate to get it resolved, and funded paypal with a credit card, you could go that route.

I'm in no real rush for it, just wanted to do 1 transfer of my paypal funds into my bank account instead of 2...
