RadoJo have you read the children's book by Shirley Hughes "Dogger" (no its not anything rude!)
it was one of my fave books as a child and tells the story of a boy who loses his beloved toy dog at a school fair... ahh brings tears to the eyes when I read it now!0 -
its an interesting debate this ......one that we had 2 years ago ,was in the post office mmiddleson found £20 straight away handed it in unbeknown to me and came back to me waving a slip of paper .......a receipt for £20 he told me what had happened and that in 6 weeks he could come back and get it if no-one had claimed it....a big decision for a 9 year old especially when he was wanting a ps2 game but he rightly said lots of older ladies use the post office and they need their money!! well 6 weeks passes and we get a call the £20 is his we go to collect it he immediately gives £10 to his brother to share-on the friday the post office ring us again can we go in? sam thinking they want the £20 back is a bit downhearted but we go in and the manager gave him ANOTHER £20 for his honesty!!! how proud was i? how thrilled was Sam and his brother another £10 each!!
