Bad Buyer !!

Sold a BNIB item. Buyer e-mailed saying part was missing and item kept falling off its mounting because of this missing piece which he says he did not notice missing until he used it. I could not categorically state if the part was in the box or not, it had not been opened by me. I said send back for refund.
Item back this morning and looking carefully at it there is no way it would even hang on the mounting without this part which is clearly shown in the assembly instructions. Furthermore there seems to be witness marks on the unit where the "missing" part could have been fitted and a scrape mark which in my opinion would suggest the part had been levered off to reposition it, it can be used in several positions, possibly breaking it in the process. Using the item really does make it "used" and pretty much useless even if I could get a replacement part.
I have refunded as I would probably be in a no win situation if he was to escalate it. £6.70 out of pocket.
I broke an item once and took it on the chin, it was my fault, and no way would I have tried it on.
Now breathe ............. :mad:

Requested mutual cancellation & refunded. They did not reply to the mutual so closed and received fees refund. Today they left feedback.Perfect + as described, fast shipment, 0

Block, report for abuse of the claims process, it won't help you but may help the next victim.
If he's leaving feedback like that it could be to cover his tracks.
I might be inclined to add a comment along the lines of the refund.0 -
