Levelling an area for a shed

Options
My garden is roughly 40 x 15 ft and at the end I am having a shed put up.
I need to level the ground and ive dug up the grass and levelled as best I can so far.

Now, do I make my levelled area level as in all paving slabs are level or do I follow the slight incline of the garden?

And,what do I use to level, what is hardcore if it's that?
How much would I need for an 8x6 shed

The shed should sit on a level surface. otherwise it will look odd. Cheap slabs set on beds of compacted earth and rubble, topped with sand and cement might be all that's needed:

For a modest shed, that should be perfect. Loads of tips and videos online.

i am in the process of doing this with a metal shed we inherited from the previous owners of our house and was situated on a muddy slope without any levelling...

    1. i dug a level area of the appropriate size.
    2. 'Laid' bricks/halfbricks from a wall i demolished into the hole.
    3. Sand.
    4. DPM.
    5. Weak sand/cement & on top paving slabs from gumtree at £1 each.
