There is a possibility that I might be made redundant at the end of the year but it is probably not going to happen
However if it does happen and I have to make a claim for JSA I will have been in my present job for 2 years and 2 months will I qualify for contribution based JSA even if my savings are over 16k and how long will the JSA last . before my present job I was on income based JSA

Contribution based JSA lasts for 6 months and is not affected by savings or partners income
It works on contributions on the previous 2 full tax years (and switches in January)
If you claim in Dec 2014, it will look at the tax years 11/12 and 12/13
If you claim in Jan 2015, it will look at 12/13 and 13/140 -
And if I make claim for contribution based JSA at the end of the 14/15 tax year what years will they look at 13/14 . 14/15 ?0
