I bought a fabric sofa suite from harveys furniture romford essex gallows corner.
It was the one we required colour and style to match our decor in our living room. On the 11sep 2014 it arrived and we were so happy because we had no sofa since we had decorated our living room.
The following day after school my son complained of irriration itching on his back and side arm and legs no rashes but that sensation. I thought nothing of it and whilst I was watching tv around half hour or so I got same burning sensation and itching as my son. I called the store and they said it was first they herd of this itching on this actual suite. He advised me to call head office. I called them and explained to them that what had we experienced and that we only bought leather suites in the past and this was our first fabric sofa. They also said first we herd on this suite. I explained to them that every persons diffrent and react diffrent to all types of material but they was not having anything I told them. And think I wanted full refund thats not the case I want another suite which Is not fabric id pay the difference but they want me to goto boots or holland and barrets to buy a allergy test kit to check why we allergic to there sofa. I went boots and holland and barrets but they stopped selling the kits. They are being so difficult and stressing me and my family out alot. We using chairs at the moments and its annoying and so not comfortable. Harveys could help solve alot but are useless. I paying for somthing I not able to use and want me to go on a hunt to solve things im fed up and annoyed can anybody assist guide me to get to the bottom of this???? Thanks guys I only had this way to turn to!!!!!!

Reactions like this are often caused by anti fungal treatments or sachets of anti fungal products added to the suite to stop mould during transportation. You could contact SATRA in Northampton to see if they have come across any cases recently.
The furniture may need to be tested to see what is causing the reaction.
