Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas lights, but not in November! The build up to Christmas used to be more exciting when the build up actually started in December. Now a days, people just get sick of it when stuff is in the shops from late September/early October.0 -

Do people just lurch from Halloween to Christmas?
As soon as the witches hats go away, the Christmas decorations come out?
I'm not that fussed about Christmas, we spend Christmas Day & Boxing Day pretty much on our own (our choice).
We eat what we want, when we want.
It's usually dark outside when we eat dinner.
I put a tree up but not until the weekend before Christmas and then I'm chafing to take it down as soon as the New Year arrives.
I don't buy many presents, we give money to my sister & niece and my nephew gives me a list (usually including the Argos catalogue number, bless him :rotfl:).
I used to look out for the first decorated house early December but 11th November?

There's a house in our area that has never bothered to take their external decorations down from last year !0

Exactly. I am sure that Christmas didn't used to be rammed down our throats so early on.
Another thing I LOATHE is those awful ads for major stores that are promoting gifts that you should be buying cousin Jimbo and auntie Fufu, and uncle pleb, and your 7 nieces... And the gifts suggested are Kindles, iphones, portable DVD players with a tv screen, an £80 electric razor, an X box, and other over-priced guff. They must think people have a £3K budget for Christmas!
And as someone mentioned earlier, I HATE the adverts and programmes that have families of 20-25 people all gathering around the table, all cosy and friendly and wonderful and lovely! I mean how often does this happen in real life? Really?!
BLEH!!!(•_•)

Noooo..what area of Mancs..?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
