Hi
I have been over limit but now I am paying off the cards nicely, how long do I have to wait before I can ask for a higher limit and possible balance transfer on the following cards
Barclaycard Initial
Capital One (wanting better rate for balance transfer)
Hope someone has had experience and staying on the right track xx

Whether you can get a limit increase will depend on a myriad of factors. Income, debt, other credit available, payment history etc etc.0

Yes, its true that there are several factors to increase your limit. Your income, payback period and few more0

The last time I asked for a limit rise was over 10 years ago. Can't remember which card, but I phoned up and they simply asked for my income and the limit I wanted. I got it rightaway.
Since then cards have just automatically raised limits to more than I'd ever need so I've never asked.
Perhaps just wait at least 6 months from the last "problem" and apply for a new BT card and see how you get on? Even if you don't get enough limit to BT all your balances, anything is better than nothing.0 -
It's not clear whether you are still over limit - if that is the case you stand no chance. IMO you will need to have completely cleared the card at least once before they may consider a higher limit.0
