PPi claim on store card and catalogue

I have recently received two confirmations that I had PPI on a store card and a catalogue.

Both have been rejected by the lenders since the original agreements were before 2005. One has gone to the finance ombudsman but has been rejected by them because of the timescale.

On both these claims I did not know that PPI was being paid and wouldn't have taken it out since I was employed by my family business and was fortunate enough to be paid if I was off for any reason.

I'm not sure if I should persist with these claims? I don't have the original agreements but do have statements from late 2005 which don't show a breakdown of the monthly payment.

Any help would be much appreciated.
