Taking off learner & parent & reinstalling normal operating system/software

Hi. I need some help with getting rid of parent/learner controls on a Samsung R519 laptop.
The child is now adult and the parental controls mean he can hardly surf anything. His mum and him can't seem to keep track of passwords so most of the time they are locked out and do not use it. Think it hasn't been used for months now.
I want to just put it back to a normal computer like mine.
I want him to start using it regularly now and he'll need it anyway to back up his iphone4 we're giving him and to manage his music.
It's Windows 7 professional, service pack 1.
How do I get it's current set up taken off and just install normal windows operating system and software on it?
Thanks a lot.

Have you removed the data that is needed from the laptop? Pictures, documents etc?
What is the full model number? 32 bit or 64 bit?0 -

It's got nothing saved on it. Only been used for searching for info to do homework. But thanks for the reminder.

I'm guessing that it only has 1GB of RAM, 2GB at a maximum so a 32 bit OS.
You should make sure that it has at least 2GB of RAM.

There should be no need to wipe the entire operating system
If it's the parental control software that comes with Windows as standard, then log in using an administrative account and simply switch it off.
If it's 3rd party software that is being used for parental controls (sometimes bundled with computers), then all you will need to do is log in using an administrative account, disable the parental control software, then uninstall it.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car

I guess that it is probably NetIntelligence.
You can possibly remove it this way:type in address box :
info.netintelligence.com/remove
click save
click run
and then follow instructions
A clean install of the OS would be better, leaner, faster....0 -

I can't remember the name of the (bundled) parental control software that came with them when we bought one each for the kids (HP laptops), but it did have some pretty icons that would no doubt keep the "eye candy" brigade happy.
I removed all the bundled crap that came with them when they were first switched on (eg, Wild Tangent games, etc) and while that did indeed speed them up, they ran even quicker once I wiped the drive and did a proper clean install of Windows and only installed the actual system drivers.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
