Good evening Old Meanie,
I am so sorry to hear that our service has dissapointed you and certainly caused you inconvenience. I certainly agree that the appointment offered is not satisfactory and we need to make your claim a priority. I would really like to help with this to see whether we can provide a better appointment, to therefore carry out a repair to the shower as soon as possible.
You will locate our email address on a our profile page. Please send us your details and we will begin looking into the matter for you.
Kindest Regards
Anna Mahon

You see part of the problem is that Engineers are often seen as low grade rubbing rags. Everyone wants their services cheaply. There has been a bit of a glut of people who have been conned into the profession with vague promises of good pay. Dubious training centres rubber stamp them through and take their fees and they are then unleashed on the general public. Certain companies recruit them, give them far too much work and some of them are out of their depth. Result? rubbish service to the customer who truly thinks that they can pay the lowest price and get the best service.
It wont happen.
My best advice is to pay a fair rate to a decent company with a known name and profile. True they may not be perfect all the time but at least they are better equipped, resourced and answerable.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
Thanks for the warnings about HES.
I've got a first annual service due shortly and have been looking around for a decent servicing company. It's a Vailant boiler so I might try them first.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

I have been "covered" by Homeserve's breakdown cover and, when my boiler broke down two weeks ago, still hasn't been fixed despite three visits.0

Boiler cover can be a tricky one - some firms push up the price in the second year, whilst others can cite small print and be inflexible ... It's worth getting some quotes from some local firms too and go from there.0
