In the newbie thread there is a link to the parking cowboy POPLA code checker. Use it to find out. You have 28 days. You do need to know when it expires.
Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.

Was just about to get stuck in finally sorting out this damn POPLA appeal, to check my appeal code and find it expired 2 days ago!
    What will happen now?
I read in the newbie thread that telling them the drivers address will 'reset' the appeal but i already stupidly told them i was the driver in my first appeal.
Do i just sit back and let the bailiff letters roll in and ignore them? I thought that was the advise for previous years but not since 2013ish?
    TIA

You should have tagged this on to the end of your previous post.
This is one of the easiest PPCs to see off at POPLA and you have lost this chance. To quote Del Boy "You plonker"

Now debt lettes to decorate your bedroom, but this is Smart, they don't to court!

As above this could do with merging into your original thread/topic.

Af this is smart parking then i assume its an ASDA, if you receive any more threat-o-grams from smart or anyone else ( roxburgh?? debt recovery plus etc ) then i would suggest that you and have a polite but firm word with the ASDA store manager, they will be able to cancel the charge however you will need to go in and be prepared in case the store manager is awkward/isnt clued up on the money making scheme that is the private paring industry.

:wall: Oh, JC, potentially another defeat snatched from the jaws of victory!

I suspect another whole pile of work for forum regulars to have to undertake to extricate the OP from the mire of an indifference to original advice.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Smart Parking cancel when they see a decent appeal like the template in the Newbies thread. So send Smart that, online, with no further explanation and quite possibly they will just fold anyway. If they don't, well who cares, it's their loss in terms of wasted postage sending you junk mail!
