10hrs volutary work and tax credits

Hiya
I'm starting a voluntary work placement as part of a ta course for 10hrs a week do i need to inform tax credits? I claim ctc and cb on a joint claim with my dh. I'm self employed for a business i run 20hrs a week and he works fuill time for an employer. Many thanks.
