Unless your landlord accepts CC payments ([STRIKE]unlekely[/STRIKE] unlikely), the only way is to withdraw cash and to pay the cash advance fee and interest from day one.
You can use Paypal, but it's not free for using a credit card either.0 -

I pay my rent via credit card but it is to a housing association. I use it to earn points. I would have thought so long as your landlord receives their rent they would not be too worried how they receive it.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Which credit card do you have that pays cashback for money transfers?
(Usually it is also a requirement that money is transferred to your own account but not sure how well this is controlled)
You might be able to agree to pay via paypal, (which will be treated as a purchase by your credit card company) but the 3.4% fee + 20p will almost certainly be more than any cashback you may earn.
Perhaps if you rented from a large, faceless organisation such as the council, they may accept rent via a credit card (and that would just be processed as a purchase by the credit card, so should earn cashback), but many councils also charge a % fee for paying by credit card (as they are charged a % fee by the credit card company) - all depends how careful your council are with spending the hard earned cash of their council tax payers.
Otherwise, you will need to check with your letting agent if they accept rent payments by credit card. Don't be surprised if they say no, or at best also charge a % fee likely to be at least as big as any cashback you may earn.
If you pay direct to a private landlord, don't expect them to accept credit cards. How many private individuals (not self employed) do you know that can accept credit card payments? :huh:0 -
My friend paid rent moneys over to me with his CC through PayPal, so that I could then pay our rent, as he had no cash, did this a few times. It charged him a fair bit, I'm sure for paying over £400 to me it cost about £20-30 each time.0

Its free to you but not free to the recipient of the funds.
If you run a shop you know people will want to pay by cards and there are certain advantages to you not having to deal with cash so you factor that fee into the price you charge in the first place.
Your landlord may be willing to accept payment by paypal thus allowing you to use your card but would almost certainly want to increase the rent by the ~3.5% PayPal are going to take from the money and I suspect that outside of any introductory period the PayPal fees are much higher than the cashback earned (its the delta that allows them to pay cashback but still run their business)0
