removal of name from joint acc

I opened a joint acc few years back for bills etc.
I'm no longer with my partner.
I filled in a form a month ago to remove my name from.the acc which she also had to sign
I cam still.see the joint acc vis online banking
It's got money inside
She says she's done it just like she says she's posted a couple of my things back which I've not received
I'm. Getting annoyed. She's either done it or dragging her feet or lying
I've called the bank and there's nothing they can do - is this correct?
So aside from me from.wiping that account clean (with her money) til.she responds to my text with specifics (which she hasn't), is there anything else I can do?
We live in different cities.
If it was sent earlier in the week it may take time to process
I've been prompt In wrapping things up my end so it's annoying

It's with nationwide will they offer the either signature to close thing too?0

They say "Both account holders will need to be present when the account changes are made", but this is what I call 'fobbing off' if the account is in credit and the second account holder eludes signing the form.
BTW, my joint account with NW is 'either signature', so I don't understand why they insist on the both account holders present if the account is in credit.0 -

I've just called nw and its either signature but nothing about who was present. I was going to make the journey to a branch but need clarification if both need to be present0 -
Called again. Either signature = only one party needs to be present
Shall I do it today or wait weeks again like for my stuff which apparently has been posted but not turned up0 -
If Nationwide have not received the form with her signature to remove they or any other bank will not do it.
However you could open a new account with them transfer all d/d's and s/o (remembering to advise any credits of new number), transfer the money (If you feel that it is your money) to that account and then raise a dispute on the old account.
A nil balance frozen account is no good to either of you but it stops both parties running up unauthorised overdrafts on them.0 -
Putting the account into dispute still leaves you with a financial association on your credit files.0

Went in and closed the account today. Took 2 minutes. Transferred all the funds to my other current a/c and then to her main current account elsewhere. Told her via text. No response. Full closure gained financially and with everything else, finally.0
