Anyone with Lloyds?

This is probably a really easy (and stupid) question...

I keep being asked to upgrade to 'club lloyds' when I go on to online banking... Is this in addition to or instead of my classic silver account? Does anyone know?

I have great benefits with the silver account which I would not want to lose, green flag, mobile phone insurance etc etc.

Can someone tell me whether that nullifies those benefits?

I am sure (EDIT: and stand corrected :o) you lose 'silver' benefits if you upgrade. After all, 'club' costs avoidable £5 p.m., not £10.
However, what stops you from having both 'silver' and 'club' if you wish?
  • No Grumbler Club Lloyds just acts as an add on - the silver package is in tact you pay £9 whatever a month.
If you don't pay in £1500 a calendar month the £5 is applied on top - if you do the £5 is refunded.

On the top, you will get a free life style benefit, either 6 vue cinema tickets, or 12 months magazine subscription, or a gourmet card for restaurants discounts.

If you have fee waiver for your silver account, don't upgrade as it will kill your waiver. Create a new Club account instead.

    Hi Pesto2606,

As there's been a bit of confusion around this, I wanted to clarify a few points around adding Club Lloyds to your account:

    - The Club Lloyds (CL) benefits are provided in addition to your existing Silver benefits. As such, the Silver fee still applies, even if you qualify each month for your CL fee to be waived.

    - If you currently have a fee waiver active on your Added Value Account (where keeping the balance above a certain amount waives the normal monthly fee), this will be lost when converting to CL.

    - For clarity, you'll see both the Silver & CL fees appear on separate lines of your statement.

I hope this helps, but if you have any other queries, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Graeme

There is and never has been a fee waiver on Silver account.
Are you thinking of the old TSB Select account?

It is true that if you have a fee waiver on Gold or Platinum then you will lose it by upgrading.

According to Lloyds there has been
  • Do you mean Lloyds the poster or Lloyds the bank??

He has posted more or less from the bank's pdf about Club Lloyds -- If you currently have a fee waiver active on your Added Value Account (where keeping the balance above a certain amount waives the normal monthly fee), this will be lost when converting to CL.

There is no mention there of Silver.
