JSA Sanctions

I am trying to help my brother from afar. He has phoned to say his JSA has been sanctioned. He has been claiming JSA for a long time - and has recently been attending a course through the Jobcentre. They have now sanctioned him for not doing enough to search for work while he is on the course ( he attends 9-3). I have looked this up and I thinks this means he will lose all his money for 4 weeks. He is single and has no other income.
He has a number of learning disabilities - dyslexia, dyspraxia and delayed development caused by oxygen deprivation at birth. He manages to achieve a level of independence but struggles with any level of complexity. He realistically doesn't have great employment chances but would genuinely like a job.
I don't think he understood the requirement to search for work as well as attend the course, and if he did he is not great at undertaking multiple tasks. He found the course quite hard.
The jobcentre don't seem to have given him any extra support and have just sent him on their normal courses. He has now missed a day of his course - he rode his bike to the local CAB to try and get some help and I am worried he will have now made his situation worse.
Can anyone give me any advice on how to help him

He can appeal and to do that he'll need help. Appeals can win. Did he look for any work at all. He might not have been able to search for work on the days he was on the course but he should have been able to look for a job or two on the weekend. If he's done that he has a better chance of winning the appeal.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
