TSB Classic Plus Current Account

I've just opened my second Classic Plus Account. I take it I don't have to trot back to the bank with my ID. I'm assuming the second account will just appear on my online banking.
If so, how long will it take to appear?

Should be instant.0

Mine was instant, although I didn't have to show any ID in branch when opening my first a/c online, so maybe it'll be different?
What a helpful post this is!0 -

opened 2 each yesterday & we open the other 2 joint account on tuesday in the bank,;)0 -
We just opened a joint one by phone, we both have 2 sole accounts.
What a carry on!! 15 minutes to get through and another 35 minutes to get the account opened.
Do they really need to go through everything again when we are already account holders?
They would only open one account every 24 hours, so now have to wait till Monday to open the second one.
At least it is slightly less hassle than an appointment in the branch.0 -

I know they have to go through all the "legal stuff" but we had the full works of name, address, DOB, ID check, income questions etc, etc. They already know all that, would it not be possible to cut out most of that by simply asking if anything has changed since we opened previous accounts?0 -

....to which the experienced "mis-sold claimants" and other seasoned compensation claimers would respond by arguing that the bank never even confirmed their address, DOB, income etc etc, so how could the bank know that it was really them they spoke to, screaming breech of the DPA, and more such rubbish. We have seen it all here on the forum, I suppose the banks have seen an awful lot more of it.
I don't believe for a minute that the banks really like to tie up their employees on these lengthy applications calls, but it is most likely their least-cost option. As if they have a recording of the phone call, there won't later be any doubt what the applicants answered.0
