Self-Employment and Housing Benefit Dispute

Hi
I'm hoping someone can help me. Last year on MSE forum someone posted a link to the housing benefit guidance notes that the housing benefit people use to work out claims. Can anyone share the link for me.
Basically I have a dispute going on between myself and the housing benefit appeals officer, over some self-employed expenses, that I believe should be allowable as I think they are in the guidance notes and allowable under HMRC.
Also can anyone advise if a housing benefit officer should be commenting on mileage/motor being high and disallowing despite not asking for mileage records or further clarification from myself.
Btw I don't mind providing the information he needs, but he isn't asking for it, and is just making assumptions.
Many thanks

From posts by HBO on here I seem to remember what HMRC allow you to offset and what housing benefit allow are very different things. Just because hmrc offsets it has no hearing on the housing be benefit0

thank you pmlindyloo but that wasn't the one I had seen as its for ESA, but the expenses that are disputed are allowable in that guidance.
I will continue to look for the housing benefit ones, so that I can reference them back0 -
marliepaul i agree they do differ but when they can be attributed to business (ie motor!) and they have disallowed it then its wrong. Just need the guidance to reference back to them.0
