Paying for a call out

Seven weeks ago I had a vacuum cleaner serviced by a mobile technician. I now think that there is a problem with a part which was fitted at the time. The company concerned says that if the part is faulty then they will replace it under warranty but if I want an engineer to call out to me then, as the work was done over 30 days ago, I must pay a call out charge or take the vacuum cleaner to them. Is this right?

How far away from you are they? Do you have a car or such that you could use to transport the hoover?
