Car Insurance for 2 months

Hi,
I will be selling my car around the 5th November 2014 and no longer need car insurance.
Unfortunately my car insurance just came up for renewal. I have looked into short term insurance but most are for 1- 30 days and very expensive.
I have had good quotes from most of the big companies on my usual yearly cover (around £280). However knowing I will be cancelling I am put off by the massive cancellation fees (circa £50).
Any suggestions to how to do this? or who has a low cancellation fee?
*my current insurance expired 3rd September. I let my cover with Churchill renew (£345) and I am currently in the cooling off period so still able to cancel for a few more days. But as they are more expensive and also charge £54 to leave I do not want to stay with them.

Expect some charge from Churchill whenever you cancel. They don't refund the full premium following cancellation in the ' cooling off' period once the policy has started.0

Thanks Quentin. I was aware I would be charged for the period I was insured, turned out to be around £12.
It was the admin charges for cancellation outside of the cooling off period I was not happy with, which would have been £57.0
