Event Cancelled... no communication from Company!

Hi All,

I think I know the answer to my question but I just wanted to get some clarification and some legal jargon that I can use!

UK Events & Productions have cancelled 3 events in September, firstly blaming the site but as it turns out they just hadn't sold enough tickets.

The events were cancelled on Monday 25th August. It was announced via a newsarticle, the company itself have not sent any emails! They have put a small announcement on their website, but even that wasn't overly clear.

I finally got through to someone a couple of days later who told me that refunds were automatic and within 7-10 days.

10 working days later, no money! I paid on my debit card (stupidly) so I know I can't quote Section 75 but I might be able to do 'Chargeback'.

So far today I've left 2 voicemails and had no response. The ironic thing is on their website it says any changes to events etc will be notified via email. (Their twitter was still talking about attending the event AFTER cancellation!!).

Any suggestions as to what I can say please? I'm going to be calling them every hour until someone calls me back!

Start a charge back now. They may be playing the waiting game before they go bust, you never know, so get the ball rolling.
