cavity wall insulation certificate?

in House buying, renting & selling
The house i have seen and placed an offer with is stated as having cavity wall insulation less than 10 yrs ago; vendor has no certificate as they say it was done by previous occupants (who were deceased relatives). They do know the company which installed the insulation but no date.

Do i need a certificate or guarantee copy before proceeding?

    No, but personally I wouldn't care anyway.

    If you have a proper survey it should flag up any problems with damp as a result of the infill.

    When I bought my present property, the vendor couldn't remember if they'd had the cavities filled, but they (and I) thought they might be. It turns out they are, yet the EPC says they're not!
