C & G 3 year step bond - maturing

Along with everyone else who has one of these accounts, I received a letter (if you haven't yet had the letter, you'll get one a couple of months or so before maturity) advising me the cheque would be issued anywhere from a month prior to its maturity date, up to its maturity date. As mine matures early October, I rang them a couple of days ago to ask if they are yet in a position to tell me when the cheque might be issued, but was told that they don't know this before the cheque's issued?? Anyway, just thought I'd ask on here, if anyone has received their cheque earlier than expected and if so how much earlier was it? I know I've read of one person receiving theirs a month early, but I don't know if that's the general rule. It'd just be useful to know when I might expect it.

Work in what was a C&G branch. The cheques can come anything up to a month before to generally a few days after maturity. If your waiting a week after I would give them a phone. It is an automatic process apparently however I now don't have much dealing with them although they were immensely popular sometimes we were queued out the door just with people wanting the step bond.
Hope this helps :-)Proud dad to two little ones who light up every day
