TSB Cash Account online application

Has anyone on here applied recently for the TSB Cash account online?


I have just made an application and now realised that it made me apply for a Classic account and not the Cash account.


Went back and double checked and when you click through on the Cash account page to apply it takes you to the Classic account application.


I didn't realise this initially. Does anyone know if you are rejected for the Classic whether it automatically offer you the Cash account? Or is it another application process?


Any knowledge appreciated.

Probably best to call TSB and ask? Whilst you're on you could let them know about the incorrect link.

For anyone else wanting to apply for the cash account, replacing the word 'classic' with 'cash' in the url will take you to the correct application page, ie

Ah ha! That's a clever idea. Shame I didn't realise before the application went through.

Checked the link again and it definitely takes you through to the Classic account application which is annoying especially if you don't realise it (luckily I did!) and you then get declined for what you believe is a basic account.

I shall now go and look for their phone number, the ones in the email I was sent seem to be for reporting suspicious emails!
