Ebay pictures question

I have just started selling items on ebay, and have been adding a gallery picture for each item.
The fees have soon mounted up, and I was wondering if I hosted my pictures elsewhere would I have to pay gallery fees etc.
Does anyone know the advantages of hosting own pictures, and would this negate gallery fees?
Thanks.

You can't avoid the gallery fee i.e. the cost of having the samll pic alongside your item in the search results. Hosting your own pics for display within the listing can easily be avoided by hosting the pics yourself. There are plenty of threads full of advice throughout this forum - just do a search.

There is an Ebay promotion on for new sellers this week which includes a free gallery picture i think the first 5 things you list are free.

    Take a look.

Hi, I use www.photobucket.com this is just a way to add extra pics to your listing for free. Upload the pic you want then copy out the middle line below the pic and paste it into the HMTL bit when you write description ...you can rearrange and resize etc from there.

Sorry this sounds scrappy I thought I would do a quick explanation in case you already know how to do it! if you don't know and it doesn't make sense just say and I will put it better!icon7.gif
