Hertz Additional Charges

Grr - Hertz are a bunch of scammers. Yesterday they came to my house to extend a car BEFORE the hire period had ended and left an additional charges note when the car wasn't there. Then, after complaining they collected the car only to leave another note for non existent damage to the car which they can't even prove has happened. It seems if they want to charge you extra they'll keep trying until it works.

Did you take photos at the start of the hire? Did you sign a sheet with any preexisting damage marked?

I usually take photos but it was dark when I picked the car up so it wasn't possible on this occasion. I signed the sheet also and in prety sure there was no damage at all at any point. Hertz are unable to provide photos of the alleged damage so I doubt there's anything wrong with the car at all.

I'm not bothered too much about chasing this because the hire was through work but I just thought I'd have a rant and warn others. It's probably no coincidence this has happened a lot in work recently.
