Skype Removing Chat History from Nexus 7

Can anyone tell me how to permanently remove the full chat history from a Nexus 7 Tablet on Skype. It seems to be an ongoing issue with most android units including phones as well. I have looked on the skype FAQs and forums without any luck.
Any sure advice would be really appreciated
