what are you currently using to transfer? have you used the pc suite from nokia? Ive not had Nokia for a while, Im more SE at the moment so Im not sure if latest versions support bluetooth connectivity

    link http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite

Other issue might perhaps be the bluetooth on your PC. Is it definitely on?

Alternate methods of transfer - but costs involved

USB - means you need to buy a usb cable. I bought one for my old sony from ebay. Cheap as chips!
Picture Messaging - you could perhaps send a picture message to an email, I think that is a possibility

Don't spend five pounds to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to the charity shop instead. They'll clean it and put it on a hanger. Next morning buy it back for two pounds.

to prove connectivity is okay, try sending a file from the PC. Right click on a jpg image for example on your PC then send as bluetooth device
Once dialog appears, search for your device and see if it picks up your phone.
One assumes you have bluetooth switched on the fone as well.

Are you just dragging and dropping from the 'images' folder to the PC (e.g. desktop). I use Blue Soleil software that came with my bluetooth USB dongle, and I have a Nokia 6111 and dont have any problems. I avoid the Nokia PC suite like the plague-thats a piece of !!!!

You should just be able to send via bluetooth application on your phone & pc without using the nokia suite application

The way I do it is ensure bluetooth is enabled on both devices and the two are paired.

On my PC I had trouble receiving files from my phone but the solution was to right click my bluetooth icon and click on receive a file.

Then send picture from your phone to your PC and hopefully PC should accept.

Hope the above makes some sense
