    You cannot just go to MCS until you have tried to resolve the issue with your installer. Have you raised your concerns with them and what was their response?

    I don't see how any complaint could anyway be made without a full 12m of gen figures? There is a great variation with the changing seasons, and the OP has no figures for Oct '13-Jan '14, which will be the time of year when output is low.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • I thought there was quite stringent limitations on the payback illustrations MCS registered installers can give? The assumptions they allow etc.

    If you can find the paperwork claiming these ludicrous amounts that would be a good start.

    Why so expensive? Was it a tricky installation, Deid you get comparative quotes?

    There is still the unanswered question. What did you get in writing regarding your installation's projected output?

    This is from one of the 3 quotes that I got;

    PV Design
    System Size 3.29kwp
    Panel Type 14 Sanyo 235W
    Total Cost £13,712
    Annual Energy Generation 2699 kWh
    Annual Feed- in Tariff £1,211
    Annual Bill Savings £175
    Annual Total £1386
    Return on investment
    10.10%

    In the end, I didn't accept this quote because (a) they hadn't taken into account shading and (b) it was significantly more than I was prepared to pay. This was 4 years ago. You should have something like the above from your installer.
