Low Gas usage inspection

I have had an email from np (who have finally managed to produce my bills for the last 6 months.)

They want to come a do a "gas safety inspection".
I think I have read on here before, that this means they think the meter may have been fiddled with or under reading.

Its true my usage has been low.

I would be interested to know what they will do next?

Will they just inspect the seals ?

hi, i was with np for my gas and like yourself i am a low gas user. np sent me the same "safety" letter and on the day of the "inspection" the meter man read the meter and that was it...he was literally there for less than a minute, he didn't inspect the meter/look at seals....nothing...just confirmed the readings and left....hope that reassures you

Ok. Thanks. My meter is outside. Maybe they just want to be sure I am there if there is an issue (or if my meter was inside)
