Grr Parcel Force

I am the librarian for a local orchestra and have to source music for our concerts. On this occasion I eventually managed to find what I was looking for at a library in Kent who were happy to lend to me (at a cost of course, it isn't like borrowing a book). I sent them the appropriate cheque, they let me know that they had posted the music to me on 48 hour delivery with Parcel Force. This was a Friday and we didn't know if any of the weekend was included or not, so at worst it should have arrived on Wednesday (we needed it for the next day). Was it delivered? Was it heck! I immediately contacted the library who checked the tracking - it had gone on the van at Stoke on Trent, ridden around all day and gone back to Stoke without any attempt to deliver. Did it arrive on Thursday? Of course not. It eventually arrived on Friday and luckily my lovely elderly neighbour saw them knocking at my door and got them to leave it with her otherwise I would have still been trying to get my hands on it on Saturday morning. I know my maths isn't brilliant but I think 7 days is longer than 48 hours. I paid the best part of £20 for this so-called 'service', what a joke. The Boy Scouts could have made a better job of it.
