Insulating outside of my house

My house was built in 1899 so is 9inch brick with no cavity wall so cannot C/W insulation, I need to look at how to get the outside done, my bills are a nightmare so what can I do and can I get a grant to do it......... very little spare cash HELPPPP!:wall:

That's what's known as 'External Wall Insulation'.
The issue is that it isn't cheap. Estimates range from 9k to 25k or above depending on the size of your house. While it does help give notable savings the payback period is stupidly long.
If you're eligible for some of the ECO schemes or council schemes then it might make sense but generally it doesn't pay.

plenty of companies offering 'Hard to Treat' external insulation, there are some grants depending on area.0
