National Express funfare query

I would like to travel from Milton Keynes to Manchester and can be quite flexible about when I go. There is a National Express funfare from London central to Manchester for £12 which makes one stop at Milton Keynes. However the price of a ticket from Milton Keynes to Manchester is £21.
Is it possible to book a funfare from London central to Manchester but get on at Milton Keynes?

Funfare rules state you can board at a later stop subject to the seat still being available as long as it’s the same coach.
Problem being it is highly likely that the seat will have been given over to a standby passenger at Victoria so you will lose that and the £12 you have spent (as funfares cannot be amended after dept time). Basically if the driver knows he only has 8 charted passengers at MK he will leave Victoria (or GG) with only that number of seats remaining; after putting on standby pax or selling tix)
I wouldn't risk it (and that’s just not with my work hat on)I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
Do you work for National express amyb?
Is it not likely that some of the passengers who get on at London central ( Victoria?) would want to get off at Milton Keynes?
Do you know how I can find the cheapest fare for my journey? I need to be there by Tuesday morning and can leave any time after Friday lunchtime.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.

Hi might be worth looking at the train. If you really can pick your times. Virgin trains , travelling on the 26th. Milton Keynes 12.10 to Birmingham arr 13.09 =£4, Birm-Man 13.18-arr 3.02=£8
The above was through Virgins site.
Mega bus might have some sort of cheap route, mostly thier fares from London -Manchester are £8

Passengers will get off at MK but that’ll be accounted for – and seats sold from Milton Keynes. If a driver has 10 on but 8 off on his booked loading chart at MK he will only need to leave the previous stop with 2 seats.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
You might get a train ticket cheaper.. as there is no way to get a cheaper ticket form MK to Manchester on the coach with out making it an unreasonably long journey.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0

theres also a fare of £10 on the 12.18 arr 12.57. If you stick MK to Man in virgin route/fare finder it comes up as at least £45 .So do MK to Brum ,as a search, then Brum to Man. Night0
