Hi Kelly most people with panels are not in this situation you are just unfortunate as the company no longer exists and the paperwork was incorrect.. I would contact a Solicitor to sort this. I deal with Solicitors and solar co's and hundreds if not thousands of properties have been sold with no issues with solar panels on.
BTW If your not planning to sell go back to your original lender and see what offers they have on their mortgages.0 -

We tried or current lender thank you but they could not do us a better deal mainly due to our LTV being 80%+but good thought xxx0
