I'm taking British Gas to court and I scared

British Gas owe me almost £300, they issued me a refund in Dec 06 but the cheques never reached my bank account yet British Gas say they have been cashed. I have had no choice but to take them to court which is so stupid. My court date is August, what should I expect and what can I do to be ready and to win. Feel nervous…

Hmmm, the Guardian article is 3 years old, so I wonder what the outcome was for that case? You could do a quick email to the Guardian financial section, copy and paste the link you've just given us here, telling them about your brother's similar case now.

Ask if they would be interested in doing a follow up article which may help raise the profile of your brother's case, or if they don't want to do an article could they tell you if they know what the outcome was from that 2004 case?
