Wall cavity not filed can i claim?

Back in 2008 we had our loft cavity and wall cavity done under an Npower grant which we had to pay the £250 for as we both work.
Fast forward to 2014 which of late I have been doing a lot of DIY, and while doing some work on the exterior (removing brickwork and fitting waste pipes) i noticed that the wall cavity was empty, i managed to get my arm inside and using my mobile phone took some pictures.
I then proceeded to contact the firm that was contracted to do the works originally, and because i was given an invoice containing a 25 year guarantee they sent someone out to inspect.
Upon inspection the wall cavities they were empty apart from where the holes were drilled where there was signs of a little filling been done.
The bloke that did the inspection took photos of the inside of the cavity as well as asking for me to email him the pictures that i took myself. All this was then and reported back to head office, after which i got a call to confirm that works will be redone.
All work has now been done to my satisfaction, but was wondering if i could potentially put in a claim as i have been using excess fuel from when the work originally done in 2008 until now, which i wouldn't have found out about if i hadn't been doing the jobs on the house that i have been doing lately.
Sorry for the long post but it just gets my back up that this sort of thing goes, especially seeing as there are a lot of elderly by us that have it done to by the same company that was used for our job.
Regards
Chris

Can you find any advertising they do that says how much you can save with their insulation? If you can find a 'save 25%' (or similar) figure somewhere it gives a starting point. Then use your old bills to show how much was wasted.
Probably best to get them to do the work properly first though.0 -

Not sure if the company that did the work advertise, will take a look.
Works all completed now to satisfaction, as for old bills we have change suppliers and not got any old bills anywhere.
Hows the best way to go about putting a claim in, small claims?
