So heres the story....
<O:p
- Got a quote online for home insurance, gave them account details for an admin charge and to process it all. When the paper work came through there was stuff in the agreement which wasn't in the on-line agreement so I called up and cancelled it.<O:p
<O:p
- few weeks later i noticed a direct debit had been set up £15 from the insurance company on my online banking. I cancelled this online and was told it could take 2 working days.<O:p
<O:p
-insurance company tried to take this out. (ps.everything is now fully cancelled with them now) and then i got a letter from halifax saying that on 9th of july i would be getting charged £39 for this bouncing<O:p
<O:p
- Called Halifax so tell them the insurance company shouldn’t have tried to take this out as the agreement was cancelled. So I was told they were giving me a refund ‘as a gesture of good will’ but I would have to wait for penalty then I would be refunded
<O:p
-11th july NO REFUND so i called and asked what was happening the person said they would send a message to the 1st girl and ask for them to process it again. They said they would get back in touch when it was sorted. They never did<O:p
-15th july STILL NO REFUND so i called again. This person said they would again message the 1st person to see what was happening. I told them to call me when it was sorted to confirm with me. This person also said it should take upto 5working days which the 1st girl didn’t tell me. They said that when some is refunded it has to go from the operator to the team leader/manager to confirm but if they are off work then this may take a bit longer. <O:p
- Today 18th july STILL NO BLOODY REFUND. i talk to someone else. She says that on the computer is says my account has a refund pending but it hasn’t gone through to the manager and that she will send it again directly to the manager. She said it will take upto another 5working days. I told her i wanted to complain about this delay and she said she was forwarding it to the complaints compartment to get intouch with me in 3-4working days. (yeah as if)<O:p
<O:p
So here i am £40 short get paid my monthly salary tomorrow which £39 will go straight to this charge. Unfortunalty money is very tight at the mo due to moving out of my parents. I have my budget planned and all the bill will get paid tomorrow. But im £40 short which could pay for one of these bills. <O:p
I have never been overdrawn always been with Halifax and when i need something sorting they mess it up. Not only is this gonna delay me paying a bill or getting the groceries there is gonna be a bigger phone bill. I feel i have been messed about
I am annoyed and angry.
If anyone can offer any advice that would be great
