Don't worry about it, I'm sure most people order too much as you will never know until you try items on whether they are any good.

I often order in 2 sizes, and for example I have ordered a few different pairs of jeans, with the intention of only keeping the couple that fit the best (if any!).

I would say return via courier if possible, as it would take a while in-store. Ditto what BellaBargains said - if you are organised and parcel returns up as you go along, it is quite easy. Your courier will be only too happy as it makes more money for them.

Also, this 10 day returns period....I have never stuck to it. I mean, I always return items asap, however for example often I have received the trousers for a suit but not the jacket. Obviously you can't decide until you have the full item. I usually return within a couple of weeks but if I can't do so until a bit later I have never ever had any problems at all.

    Hi
I often order 2 sizes particularly with Next. When buying from catalogues and online I often return a lot as they just don't look how I thought. Also I am buying for my daughter who is 91/2 she hates shopping with me and has no patience looking through a catalogue, but has definite likes and dislikes!!! I ordered her age 10 jeans and they are long enough for me! I am only 5.2, but all the same. Ah if only I could fit in them I would save a fortune. However not a hope in hell!

Due to being unsure of sizing for both my daughter and myself, I have ordered way more than what I will actually keep (ie.e several hundred pounds). I obviously intend to return incorrect sizing but as the order is so big
can't cancel the things I had decided are extravagance!!!!

that'll teach you too not be so greedy next time maybe!!!!!!

However to all the people whose size etc. was out of stock keep trying as lots of people return things especially with VIP slot as you get 1 log in so buy everything then.
  • If all clothes sizes across all stores were the same, then there wouldn't be a problem. If all kids trousers had adjustable waists, then there wouldn't be a problem. My children are in a 2-3 in some stores and a 3-4 in others. I think OP is completely justified to order diff sizes, try them on and if they are wrong return them.

Where did you get £700 from??

My fault, i misunderstood, sorry, i thought she was going to return 700£ worth of clothes. And they a fat corporation anyway i suppose, not like it 's a small business trying to start up.

Mail-order comapies always allow for a large volume of returns - not a problem unless you either hang on to it for a month or two or (and this has been known) get it altered and wear it a couple of time before returning. Also most of them can't hang around getting stuff out of the doors, so generally not much chance of cancelling the next (lol) day - it's probably already on the van.

Wouldn't feel embarrassed about taking it back, won't be anything new to them...

I wouldn't feel bad about it, nobody knows how much you ordered, your return may just be a fraction of your purchase, everyone has to return things at some point and the courier service is good and you are keeping the courier in a job as well.

I so wouldn't worry about it. Most people do this. For those who think they're missing out because of this you can keep revisiting the www.next.co.uk/sale link for weeks (sometimes months!) afterwards and grab even better bargains from these returned items. Everyone's a winner! My problem is I over order for choice rather than size and then keep most of it! No pennies saved there!
