Homelet recurring payments

I took out a policy with Homelet for boiler cover for a rental house for what I thought was a one year contract.
However I noticed that the direct debit was still being taken 15 months later and that the policy automatically renewed.
I admit I don't check my bank statements so was not aware that the amount was still being taken and that it had also increased from 17 to 25 pounds.
I normally communicated via email and only spoke on the phone once at the outset of the policy, homelet say that in this initial conversation they told me it was a recurring contract.
I did not recieve any emails from them about this although they sent me promotional emails on a regular basis, they also say they sent letters to my home, but we moved house about 9 months into the contract and the copies they sent me where addressed to my old address.
They also sent copies of letters they say were sent to the rental property but the tenants say they never recieved any, in any case none were passed on to me.
Do I have any chance of claiming this money back as I also bought other policies for the same thing not realising that this policy was still running.
Thanks for any help in advance
Mark

Why didnt you cancel it when you moved or at least tell them the new address?
You can attempt to cancel it but it sounds like its 100% your own fault. Its worth reading the literature to see if its a service plan or an insurance policy. If its the later then you have the option of going to the FOS and highlighting this to them in your complaint is likely to result in a more favourable result despite it being your own fault0
