My OH and I separated in December 13, lived together until March 2014 (they returned back to their native country) in April 2014.
As i see it, I wont be able to apply for the divorce until April 2016 (2 years living apart) is this correct? If so, do i have to notify anyone about our separation to make it legal or just wait till April 2016 and start proceedings.
There is no need to go down any other route, i.e, unreasonable behaviour, adultery etc so would have to wait for 2 years anyway.

Yes, if you dont want to come up with a reason of unreasonable behaviour then it'll be 2 years for an uncontested divorce or 5 years if you agree that the decision to split was mutual but they contest the divorce.0
