I just recieved an email supposedly from AOL titled FPA NOTICE:Suspicious Activity-Section9-<my email address>
Basically it asked me to log into my aol account and supply my credit card details via a link or my aol account may be suspended. It contained some obvious spelling mistakes and was supposedly sent from aw-confirm@ebay?
Just wanted to let everyone know to look out for this one as I am about 99.9% sure its a scam to get credit card details. I have sent it to spoof@ebay and am expecting a reply saying it is a spoof. Please don't fall for this one as at first glance it looks very convincing.

Raptoman, these emails are everywhere and there is no need to post them here. Just send them to the spoof address at the company they pertain to come from and delete them. The fact that the scammers this time mistakenly sent an aol phishing mail from 'ebay' mean they are getting careless.
They are never convincing and most of us get several a day.

There always will be someone who just has to ask 'could this be genuine' otherwise the scammers would have given up ages ago.
However, if people don't read all the warnings from the banks, ebay, paypal etc, nor watch any of the consumer type programmes or read newspapers where these scams are discussed continually they are not going to read a warning on a forum like this.
