Hi OP.
Depends on the course and conditions set out. Some do a part charge, some charge for the full year. She needs to contact the Uni if she's in danger of dropping out - there's things that can be put in place to help her stay in uni if she's struggling, and also a wealth of information if she is thinking of leaving.
If she has a tuition fee loan, the local student finance (you don't say where you are) office may help as well; usually the uni will have contact details.0 -
I work at a uni and we would charge 25% if the student withdrew during the first term, after that it is calculated on a pro rata by week.
I should add this may vary uni to uni.0 -
Thanks Dom, its Edge Hill Uni in Ormskirk The main reason shes thinking of not going is she still doesnt know if the course she chose is the one she wants to do(Teenagers!!!!!!!!!)She has until Tomorrow to enroll.0

I believe Edge Hill work in part payment so however many weeks between the start of the course (next week) and the end of the course (usually sometime in April) is divided by 3 for the 3 semesters, which doesn't necessarily equal to the actual semester, and she would pay back 3k per each of these chunks began.
So if the Uni have 30 weeks of term, for every ten weeks she begins she repays 3k. So if she did 11 weeks or 19 it would still be 6k repayable.0
