Hi,
I have installed Ubuntu on my computer but the problem is when-ever I insert my memory card into the computer nothing happens. I just cannot access the card by going through my computer.
What should I do access my data on memory card?
Thanks
MS

Hmmm, it should auto-mount the device. Let's check it's possible to mount it.
Plug in your device. Along the top go to Application > Accessories > Terminal
A new window will open. Type:sudo fdisk -l
That will list all your hard drives, removable drives, memory cards etc... Scroll through the list.
For each individual device you may find something like:Disk /dev/sdc: 1040 MB, 1040449536 bytes 256 heads, 63 sectors/track, 126 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16128 * 512 = 8257536 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sdc1 * 1 126 1016032+ b W95 FAT32
That for example is my Shuffle. I can tell as it's 1040MB and I know it's FAT32. You'll need to work out which one is your memory card. Then the bit you need is the "Device" name, ie in the above it's "/dev/sdc1".
It's probably best you post the above bit like I have for your device. Once you've found it, it's just a matter of mounting it. Need to know the file system of your device to do that though. In the terminal window just highlight the bit you want, right click, and select "copy". Then paste it in your response."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
