Hi everyone, I overpaid my credit card by £14.00
If I spend that £14 will they charge me interest?

I think I did that before, overpaid. Then on the balance it said -£20 or whatever. I think I just left it and my next payment from my current account was just less because of it.
So you could use it, or just leave it there, and next payment I think will be taken some from that.0 -
Many credit cards specify in their Ts & Cs that they're not to be used in this way, so if you've overpaid, albeit inadvertently, it's probably worth spending at least £14 on the card at the first opportunity, just to straighten things out.0

I had this when a balance transfer went on the same day as the dd so I ended up £184 in credit, it happened while I was on holiday but not had anything from the bank a week later and bought some stuff when I got back and seems ok.
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

It will only cost the OP if they decide to cash the £14 from the card - all previous advice to spend it is good.0

Hi, I just signed up to Experian and found a credit card I closed in Dec 2012 showing as having a £14 credit. Am I entitled to interest on that as they have never written to me to tell me this even after closing my account? They would for sure have written to me and charged interest if I owed them £14.0

What did the statements say?
The short answer is no, you're not entitled to interest - and even if you were, it would be negligible. If you can clearly demonstrate some fault of theirs and complain they might make an ex gratia 'go away' payment though....0
